AMAZON.COM Book on Pet Loss Offered As Free Download

Grieving pets owners have just been given a free resource for coping with their loss. For a brief five-day period, Brandon Casteline, author of the Amazon.com exclusive “Dealing with the Loss of a Pet and Learning to Love a New One - A True Story of Lessons Learned and How Any Pet Owner Can Feel Joy Again,” has been offering the Kindle edition of the book for free to all readers, even if they don’t have a Kindle device. The promotion will be ending this week.

Just released late last year, the book offers a unique take on how readers can get through losing a pet. Rather than writing a clinical book on the stages of mourning or a breakdown of human coping skills and psychology, Casteline instead chronicles his own experiences in caring for, and eventually losing, the many different pets he’s had over the course of his life. He then clarifies the important lessons he’s learned and explains to readers how to apply these lessons to their own mourning process and get them past their grief as easily as possible.

Offered in a ‘true story’ format, the book includes how-to instruction in certain points to help the lessons connect with readers on a more personal and effective level. This pairing of literary styles seems to be striking a powerful tone with readers according to reviews the book has been receiving. Feedback on the book’s Amazon page has described the content as ‘engaging’, ‘compelling’, and ‘heartfelt.’

When asked why he was offering the book for free, Casteline mentioned a desire to get word out faster about the book, but he also wanted to connect with potential readers who were still unsure about trying it.

“When I first released on the book on Kindle, I started at a very low price point of 99 cents to make sure it was easy for new readers to get ahold of,” Casteline noted. “And I’m going to raise the price to a more sensible amount as soon as the free promotion ends, but I figured it might be nice to first take things one step further and offer it for free for a couple of days. That way, I’ll feel really good knowing that I gave everyone an opportunity to get their hands on the book before putting a higher price tag on it.”

“Dealing with the Loss of a Pet and Learning to Love a New One” is available for free download exclusively on Amazon.com right now, with a price increase expected near the end of this week.
