Logic PD to Present at Frost & Sullivan’s Medical Technologies 2014 Event

Betten to lead discussion on the future of connected health

Logic PD is presenting at the 19th Annual Medical Technologies 2014: A Frost & Sullivan Executive MindXchange in San Diego, March 9-11, 2014.  The annual event brings together medical device and connected healthcare leaders to discuss and explore opportunities in today’s emergent healthcare landscape. 

Logic PD’s Bill Betten, Vice President of Business Solutions in Medical/Life Sciences, will be leading an interactive
breakout session at 10:30 a.m. PT on Tuesday, March 11th.  Participants in this session, “Connected Health: Innovating a Holistic Interoperable Solution to Meet Your Customer’s Needs,” will explore approaches for developing a cohesive vision for connected health products and develop a framework for assessing potential product value.    

Connected health aims to maximize healthcare resources and provide increased, flexible opportunities for consumers to engage physicians and better self-manage their care.  In his role, Betten works with clients to create connected health solutions that leverage Logic PD’s technical and systems integration expertise from human-centered design process and architecture definition, to full system development and deployment. 

Following his breakout session, Betten will be facilitating a Topic Table discussion at 12:00 p.m. PT. Participants will discuss mobile technology and the convergence of wellness, fitness and traditional medical devices to monitor chronic conditions to lower costs and improve user adoptability.

William Betten, Vice President of Solutions Development of Medical/Life Sciences at Logic PD, has over 30 years of experience in product definition, development, and production in the Medical Devices/Life Science industry. Bill serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for the Medical Design and Diagnostic Industry magazine, as well as Advisory Boards for the Pediatric Medical Device Consortium, for St. Thomas University, and for Minnesota State University, Mankato.  He also provides consulting services to high tech companies, is a writer and lecturer, and holds BSPhysics, BSEE, and MSEE degrees.
