CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union has increased the number and amount of scholarships offered to its members. It now provides $5,000 for five $1,000 scholarships.

CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union has increased the number and amount of scholarships offered to its members. It now provides $5,000 for five $1,000 scholarships.  CommonWealth One is now accepting applications from eligible student members for the 2014–2015 school year.

The Kathryn R. Coleman Scholarship awards two $1,000 scholarships to one graduating high school senior and one undergraduate college student. Applications are due April 30, 2014. The CommonWealth One Scholarship awards three $1,000 scholarships for high school students.  Two will be awarded to T.C. Williams High School students, one of which must be graduating from the Academy of Finance and one to a  Harrisonburg High School student. Applications are due May 30, 2014.   Applications are available online at cofcu.org and are judged on a written essay, academic achievements, and involvement in school and extracurricular activities.
