WEBWIRE

RALEIGH, NC, 03/18/2005, HydroFlo, Inc. (OTC BB: HYRF) announced that its portfolio company, Metals & Arsenic Removal Technology, Inc. (MARTI) will present their household water treatment product line at the 2005 Annual International Home & Housewares Show in Chicago, Illinois, in conjunction with WAL S.A. The show is scheduled to take place March 20 through 22.

The International Home & Housewares Show is the world’s premier housewares marketplace, which features more than 2,100 exhibitors from 34 countries, and more than 18,000 buyers from over 100 countries around the world. The Show offers buyers the opportunity to see first-hand consumer lifestyle and product trends for all areas of the home, both inside and out, under one roof.

Marti will be hosting their presentation in conjunction with WAL S.A. (WAL), who will also be displaying their products of water and pitcher units which are currently distributed throughout the European Union and the Asian Continent. MARTI’s agreement with WAL includes addition of ARTI-64™ media in each filter unit to provide removal of drinking water contaminants. Studies have shown that the MARTI-WAL system is the only pitcher/filter unit capable of removing arsenic from drinking water. These systems will join the market with others such as the Brita, Boots, and Kenwood* water filtration cartridges.

*Brita and Kenwood are registered trademarks. Boots is a registered trademark of the Boots Company Ltd.

“MARTI is looking forward to displaying our current collection of water treatment products for the international public,” stated George Moore, Chief Operations Officer of MARTI. “We are excited to present at the International Home & Housewares Show. It is a welcomed opportunity to showcase our products to the world.”

The MARTI exhibit at the housewares show will consist of the following display items:

ARTI-64™ Compound

The ARTI-64™ is a proprietary technology which allows the industrial, municipal, and residential user to remove arsenic in potable or wastewaters without pH adjustment. This is accomplished with no harmful byproducts and is not affected by nitrates, phosphates, silica, or sulfates. MARTI will remove arsenic in its trivalent form as well as its pentavalent form in a pH range from 6.0 to 9.5.

MARTI-WAL Pitcher/Filter Units

MARTI-WAL Pitcher and Filter Units are residential units for any household. ARTI-64™ media is placed in each of these systems and is used to help filter tap water of harmful contaminants, but unlike its competitors, the MARTI-WAL filters remove arsenic from tap water. This residential unit is expected to be available in May 2005, both online and at local retailers nationwide.

Portable Water Purifier-Filter and Treatment System (FATS™)

FATS™ is a lightweight portable device which filters, treats, and conditions water without extensive wait time for the user. This single apparatus has been designed with military service personnel in mind. It is able to withstand extreme conditions including an 18 mile per hour drop. It contains a layered treatment system capable of removing different types of contaminants such as arsenic, metals, and numerous other impurities found in untreated water. Initial laboratory tests confirm that FATS™ removes bacterial pathogens. Further tests are also currently being conducted to determine if viruses are completely removed by this technology.

Dennis L. Mast, CEO of HydroFlo, commented, “I am extremely pleased to display our technology to the world and to show shareholders that our portfolio companies are aggressing to capture the market in which their technology can be utilized.”
