Premier Insurance Advisors Brings Hope to Woman in Need of Vision and Dental Care through Local Tomball, TX Charity Initiative

Premier Insurance Advisors announced the launch of its Tomball charity initiative to fund care for a local woman facing debilitating high blood pressure, depression and dental issues. Sandra Parker, a local 50-year-old mother of three and grandmother of nine, has hindering physical and emotional conditions, and a recent family divorce and husband’s unexpected deportation have left her little to live on.
 
With two daughters out of reach, she was forced to move into a shelter, only able to reside with her third daughter for a short period of time. Sandra applied for medical and dental care at TOMAGWA HealthCare Ministries, where treatments are relatively inexpensive, as to help people similar to Sandra.
 
However, because the cost of treatment needed far exceeds Sandra’s resources, Premier Insurance Advisor owner and founder Chris Draper, was compelled to step in and help generate a funding platform on Sandra’s behalf. Entitled “Smile and Sight for Sandra,” Draper aims to raise $1,000 to cover her medical costs so she can re-enter the workforce worry-free.
 
“I wanted to share this story with the people of Tomball because we truly want to make sure our community members are always in good hands,” Draper said. “Sandra’s story was compelling, and if we could all pull together our resources, I think we can give Sandra the second chance she deserves.”
 
TOMAGWA is a Christian ministry that provides quality health care and hope and restores dignity to uninsured, low-income families and individuals in the tri-county region, the organization’s website stated. More than 25 percent of the Texas population, surmounting to about 6.3 million people, do not have health insurance. Nearly 1.1 million of those people reside in Harris County alone.  
 
“Sandra does not have a car and only owns two pairs of pants and two pairs shoes,” Draper said. “She’s lacking items that have become necessity in our day in age, and this fundraiser is just what she needs to be rehabilitated and find a job on her own.”
 
The “Smile and Site for Sandra” initiative was created through GoFundMe.com, an easy-to-use online funding platform. Draper said he is excited to help Sandra’s cause and create more community initiatives in the future.
