Local Boutique Opens New Location at 81st and Sheridan on February 15, 2014

The first thing you notice at Amaranth Collection is how relaxed you feel. From the walls to the clothes to the staff - it’s bright and cheerful. Neatly organized displays of all the latest trends in clothing and accessories line the vibrantly painted walls. But the special thing about this shopping experience is in the way owner, Tulsa-native Elizabeth Whitehead, designed it. While Amaranth Collection feels like an upscale boutique, the prices often rival those of larger retailers. It’s rare to find an item priced over $100, making this a favorite for their target clientele looking for the season’s hottest baubles without breaking the bank.

Often asked about the boutique’s name, Whitehead explains that, “Amaranth means never fading, and we believe that three things about business should be never fading: Loyalty, Service, and Good Attitudes.” That commitment to customer service and attention to detail has made Amaranth Collection one of the fastest growing boutiques in Tulsa. Sales have grown 200% since 2012 and continue to climb. Using Facebook and other social media outlets as a platform for marketing, this small shop has grown a large customer base from a commercial location that is not even visible from the street. With little to no “walk-in” traffic, the growth of this boutique has been impressive. Word of mouth and online traffic have positioned Amaranth Collection for continued growth and success both online and in their new retail location. 

With hopes to continue their steady growth, this Tulsa boutique will open a new location next week, providing greater visibility and of course more room for the season’s hottest piko and dolman tops, leggings, colored jeans, beautiful spring dresses, jewelry, shoes and gifts.

The grand opening celebration event will be held from 10am to 7pm on February 15th at Amaranth Collection’s new location in the Square One shopping center on the northeast corner of 81st and Sheridan.
