Tempo Adds People Insights Into Its Mobile Calendar So Busy Professionals Can Make The Best Impression and Get The Most Out Of Every Meeting

MENLO PARK, Calif. – February 5, 2014 – Today, Tempo AI, creator of the breakthrough personal productivity app for iOS, Tempo Smart Calendar, is announcing the beta launch of its new feature, called Insights. The feature is like having an assistant scan the most important parts of the Web to create a complete picture of the people you are meeting. Designed to help professionals prepare for what’s next, Tempo Insights helps them build rapport whether it’s a first-time meeting, reconnecting after a long spell, or just hopping on the phone with a colleague.
Connections through common relationships are immensely important to networking and business development, so a central component of Tempo Insights is the ability to discover mutual contacts. Tempo displays all mutual LinkedIn connections, Facebook friends and, for the first time, Tempo mutual contacts. Tempo leverages a graph of millions of connections, on top of an understanding of meeting context and email communications, to select and display the most relevant people known to both parties. These are high-value connections because they are based on actual meetings and communication versus simply accepting an invitation to connect.

Tempo automatically creates and maintains Profile cards from connected data sources, including the iPhone Contacts app, Outlook, Gmail and other linked email accounts. The Insights beta feature is baked into the updated Profile card, and gives users the following information about each of their contacts:
- Most recent emails
- Last and next meetings
- Mutual Tempo contacts
- News about the individual and/or their company
- LinkedIn – mutual connections, summary, current employment, shared links
- Facebook – mutual friends, posts, photos, shared links, check-ins, personal notes and interests
- Twitter – recent tweets
- Crunchbase overview
- AngelList – advisor, investor and founder roles and employment
- Foursquare mayorships
- Meetup groups
Tempo Insights uses AI to learn, and today’s beta will allow the Insights system to learn and get smarter over time, as user feedback and new relevant sources are integrated.
Tempo does the heavy lifting of pulling in contextual information from 20+ data sources to save people the time and hassle of surfing multiple apps. Tempo also enables more actions in one tap, and with its new Smart Alerts and Morning Alerts, users can do more right from an alert without having to launch Tempo. There are five types of Smart Alerts: auto-dial conference call, check flight status, navigate to a location, contact a person, and read about a company. Morning Alerts are a reminder to wish friends happy birthday and review what’s ahead for the day.

- See the estimated drive time to a meeting in the event summary
