3 Dating Tips You Need to Know About 2014 Valentines Day to Avoid Big Date Disaster

Valentine’s Day: That dreaded Hallmark holiday hated by single women and men. After all, they didn’t nickname it Singles Awareness Day for no reason!

New York – WEBWIRE

Going out to dinner on Valentines Day is a a HUGE cliche even for couples! Nothing kills romance as a Cliche on Valentines Day.

This is Antonia, from International Dating Coach Association.

If you’re currently single then you are probably already planning your non- Valentines Day plans. And if you are a guy with special girl, you probably terrified of what to do. Then this article will save you a lot of drama and possibly tears.

  • First:  Don’t Be Bitter.

If you are someone who wants to be in a relationship, then stop cringing at those who have that. By changing your mindset to be happy when you see couples or see a Facebook engagement, why not be happy instead? Adjusting your mindset - especially in these situations - will help you to look at singles, dating, and relationships in a positive light rather than as an uphill battle. Now that we have that straight, here’s the other thing you need to do:
  • Second: LEAVE YOUR HOUSE.

If your plan was to stay in your apt and watch 30 Rock reruns to avoid all the aformentioned “Happy Couples” let me kindly remind you that you won’t meet  any  singles in your living room. So what can you do instead? It’s a Friday night, so do something fun! How about doing something you don’t normally do everyday...like karaoke, or going to a concert? These are both fun things to do on a Friday night, will put you in a great mood, and are a sure fire mix of both single men and women. Anything that is high energy that allows you to talk to and meet new people will be a better idea than anything that seems too romantic. The people who attend events like these are probably coming into it with a jaded mindset or with a poor agenda. You’re much better off playing singles roulette at a random karaoke bar, a concert venue, a bowling alley, or anywhere else people go to have fun!

  • Third: Avoid Dreaded Dinner.

Avoid at all cost sit down restaurants or anything that is stereotypically Valentine day couple oriented. Going out to dinner on Valentines Day is a a HUGE cliche even for couples! Nothing kills romance as a Cliche on Valentines Day.

Insider Tip: avoid anything that is specifically labeled “For Singles.” Nothing reeks desperation as event with word singles in it, you wont be finding great quality at “Singles” fair. We have hosted many parties, and party with word “singles” in it consistently disapoints.
So if you’re single this Valentines Day, don’t let this one day of the year be something that gets you down. Instead, let it be something that gets you out of the house and out of your head!
