RSI releases Rock Solid Attributes™ for Petrel®

RSI is pleased to announce the release of version 1.0 of Rock Solid Attributes (RSA) for Petrel on Friday 31 January 2014. RSI’s attributes already have a strong following in the industry and provide interpreters with the information they need as part of their multi-physics workflows. RSA allows the user to calculate over 80 seismic attributes, including instantaneous attributes such as relative acoustic impedance, multi-trace attributes such as semblance and curvature, and various hybrid attributes. The package is seamlessly integrated with Petrel and features the Rock Solid Guide™, an interface especially adapted for geologists and interpreters to allow for easy selection of the most appropriate attributes based on geology and interpretation goals.

Stated Dr. Rolf Ackermann, Vice President of R&D of RSI: “RSA was developed following requests from our customers to offer our attribute package on Petrel, to complement the same technology already implemented under license in SMT Kingdom and SeisWare. Future product releases in the same family will include neural network-driven seismic  facies classification (LITHANN®) and well-based modeling and calibration tools.”
