SELIN, NJ – BASF will showcase its advanced Mercury Sorbent HX™ stationary emissions control solution at the Energy, Utility and Environment Conference (EUEC) 2014 taking place February 3-5 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Mercury Sorbent HX is a cost-effective solution that reduces mercury emissions for electric utility customers while preserving the quality of fly ash that can be sold to concrete manufacturers.
Electric utilities that operate coal-fired power generating units are challenged to control mercury emissions in a cost-effective way, in line with increasingly stringent regulatory requirements, such as the U.S. Mercury & Air Toxics Standards (MATS).
