SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Carrier will showcase its Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) offerings at the 2014 AHR Expo in New York City, including its award-winning new generation of VRF systems. Carrier’s latest heat recovery units, the Toshiba Carrier SHRM-i, deliver innovative technology that optimize and balance each component in the system to enhance reliability and efficiency. Toshiba Carrier SHRM-i VRF Heat Recovery systems also boast multiple inverter-driven compressors that are compatible with Puron® refrigerant (R-410A) and recently earned a 2014 AHR Expo Innovation award honorable mention in the cooling category. Carrier, the world’s leader in high-technology heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions, is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

Toshiba Carrier VRF systems continue to bring building owners significant advantages with an extensive range of inverter-driven systems. Toshiba Carrier VRF offers adaptive compressor control down to 0.1 Hz, which increases the efficiency of the equipment while improving comfort as well. An enhanced oil management system provides superior reliability; unique piping options afford flexibility in design and installation; and jobsite wiring is greatly reduced, thanks to the innovative product design. Plus, integration with Carrier i-Vu® controls give the customer a single source for all building needs.

“We continue to innovate and evolve our VRF offerings and are pleased to offer our customers even more features and benefits in 2014,” said Meredith Emmerich, general manager, ductless and VRF systems, Carrier. “The innovations in our VRF offering expand Carrier’s vast portfolio of products to meet customers’ specific needs.”
