"Say Cheeeese" on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail

Finger Lakes, NY( January 14, 2014) What doesn’t go better with wine than cheese and to tantalize your taste buds here on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail check out  the annual “Say Cheeeese” event on February 8 & 9, sponsored by Lite 97.3, Cayuga Radio Group. Savor creamy cheese recipes while tasting fine wines as you receive a wineglass at your starting point winery. Yes, the wine charms are back for another year with a whole new set of designs, one for each person. Travel to all of the wineries along the trail to collect a wine charm from each, 17 in all.

This year the wineries will be the serving their cheesiest recipes ever. Knapp Winery and Vineyard Restaurant will be serving their Spicy Crab and Chive Dip made with Vanillen Dairy Morning Glory Cheese and at Swedish Hill Winery, a Tex Mex Chicken Chowder made with Muranda cheddar cheese.  Make sure to stop at Sheldrake Point Winery for their Lively Run Blue Cheese and Pear Tart.

Take all your favorite photos over the weekend for the “Say Cheeeese” photo contest and enter them via facebook or email. There will be different categories such as funniest, best wine and cheese pairing and most creative. The winner who takes the best wine and cheese photo at the event will win a Specialty Gift Basket from the local creameries and wineries.

Make sure to turn in your ticket at your last winery so that you are eligible to win one of the Grand Prizes, seven in all.  Plus the wine trail is offering a selection of Say Ch eeee se packages at various different hotels and inns in Ithaca, Auburn and Seneca Falls. Each package includes accommodations, transportation for two and two tickets to the “Say Ch eeee se” event. Think of it, all the fun and none of the hassle in traveling from winery to winery. Separate transportation and accommodation packages that include tickets to the event are also available.
