Midland Memorial Hospital Adopts Advanced Surface Disinfection Technology

Since 1950, Midland Memorial Hospital (MMH) has exemplified excellence in patient care, medical education and community service.  As a not-for-profit entity, the hospital originally opened its doors as a community owned, 75-bed hospital, serving the nearly 22,000 people who then resided in Midland County, Texas.  Today, the hospital has expanded to support the growing community and now offers 468 licensed beds and the most advanced medical services from a dedicated staff of healthcare providers. 
 
Midland Memorial Hospital’s pledge for over 60 years has been to deliver quality healthcare to the residents of Midland County and the surrounding region.  This month, the hospital furthered that commitment by adopting cutting edge technology to clean hospital rooms.  The V-360+ UV Room Sanitizer from UltraViolet Devices, Inc. (UVDI) is now deployed at MMH to provide superior surface disinfection in patient rooms, operating rooms and other areas of the hospital.
 
The V-360+ in use at MMH is a mobile ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) device that is utilized by environmental services staff to disinfect hospital rooms after cleaning. It generates high intensity UV energy and quickly disinfects surfaces contaminated with viruses, bacteria and fungi, including superbugs such as MRSA and C. difficile.
