Zen Fertility Center Launches Two Infertility Support Groups
The goal of both groups is to create a safe space for individuals facing fertility challenges to find support, encouragement and hope
Fortunately, acupuncture, lifestyle changes and having the support of others makes a big difference and can help improve a personís chances of conceiving.
To better serve women, and their partners, who are trying to conceive, have received an infertility diagnosis and/or undergoing fertility treatments, the Zen Fertility Center has created two support groups: The Pioneer Group† - a monthly, in-person support group facilitated by two fertility experts; and the Zen Fertility Center Connection - a private, invite-only Facebook group. The goal of both groups is to create a safe space for individuals facing fertility challenges to find support, encouragement and hope. †
ďThe struggle with fertility is often a bumpy road, paved with both moments of hope and silent grief.† Many of my patients express feelings of disbelief, anger, shock and depression when they receive an infertility diagnosis or donít conceive as quickly as anticipated,Ē said Julie Chang, L.Ac., acupuncture fertility expert and owner and founder of Zen Fertility Center. ďFortunately, acupuncture, lifestyle changes and having the support of others makes a big difference and can help improve a personís chances of conceiving.Ē
The inaugural Pioneer Group will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 6:00pm at the Zen Fertility Center (7969 Engineer Road, Suite 209, San Diego, CA 92111). Facilitated by Chang and reproductive psychologist Dr. Katie Martin, the hour-long session will include a brief presentation on how women can find physical, emotional, mental and social support as they move through their fertility journey. Time for questions and answers and an open group discussion will follow.
The Zen Fertility Center Connection Facebook page is currently accepting new members and is open to all women, regardless of where they are in their fertility journey.† Because it is a private Facebook group, participation and posts will never show up in membersí newsfeeds or timelines and only other members can see who is part of the community. This is an ideal outlet for women who canít make the in-person groups or need extra support in between the monthly group meetings.
Attendees of either group do not have to be a current patient of Zen Fertility Center to participate.† To RSVP for the Pioneer Group, request a Facebook invitation to Zen Fertility Center Connection, or for more information, contact Julie at Info@ZenFertility.com.
Remember that acupuncture is a healthy way to counter the increases of stress during a busy holiday season! Zen Fertility Center is now accepting insurances that cover acupuncture treatment.† Appointments can be made: Monday 9:00am-7:00pm; Wednesday 9:00am -3:00pm; Thursday 9:00am-7:00pm; Friday 9:00am-1:00pm; and Sunday 10:00am-1:00pm.
