Regulators are under pressure to regulate this growing industry which is good for everyone.
Laguna Beach, CA - (NewMediaWire) - December 5, 2013 - On December 4, 2013 the Los Angeles City Council voted to classify electronic smoking products (e-cigarettes) as tobacco products and regulate them like other “nicotine delivery devices”, joining hundreds of other cities doing the same thing. The new law would put severe restrictions in place and ban sales from mall kiosks, ice cream trucks and self-service displays, and would require retailers to be licensed.
Brian Kissinger, CEO of Blo Gourmet e-juice fully supports this decision. “We absolutely agree that e-cigarettes and ‘juice product’ sales should be regulated by government. Our juice is not sold to minors and we encourage stores that sell our products to check IDs before selling to anyone. We also want to see all smoking products made under sanitary ‘clean room’ conditions and force the closure of anyone making products from their homes.”
This industry, which has exploded in just the past few years, is high on the controversy list. “Big Tobacco” has a vested interest in future legislation and they project the e-cigarettes and vaping markets becoming bigger than tobacco sales in less than a decade. According to Wells Fargo Securities analysts they see the FDA as having has a huge opportunity in the next few months to develop a “comprehensive nicotine regulatory policy” which could create an entirely new category of this growth area.
“It’s all about education,” shares Norm Bour, an Industry Adviser to the Vaping Industry. “There are so many misconceptions and ‘knee-jerk’ reactions to this market and much of it is based on lack of knowledge.“ Norm foundedwww.VapeMentorS.com to address that need and provides education and training to city councils, politicians, Vape shop owners, plus those looking to get into this highly profitable business.
Blo Gourmet e-juice supports all regulation regarding sales to minors and has also created income opportunities for those that want to tap into this lucrative $2 billion market. Their Blo Gourmet e-juice Distribution program allows entrepreneurs to start their own business without opening a shop, a lab or requiring a web site or employees and provides workshops throughout Southern California to share their program, which will be expanding nationwide in 2014.
