AT&T Announces New Contract with Geotech Environmental Equipment, Inc.

Manufacturer Turns to AT&T for Converged Network Solution

Denver, Colorado, August 11, 2006, AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) announced today a new contract with Geotech Environmental Equipment, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of sampling, filtration, analytical and remediation products for the ground and surface water industry. With headquarters in Denver, Geotech has six locations in the U.S. and one in Spain.

Under the terms of the three-year contract, AT&T will provide all Geotech locations with a variety of network and voice services including: Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Private Network Transport (PNT), Managed Internet Service, IP Telephony, and local and long distance voice services.

Because of recent acquisitions and expansions, Geotech needed to converge its network to a secure Wide Area Network (WAN) in order to streamline operations companywide. The MPLS PNT is a single, private IP WAN infrastructure that will support the Managed Internet Service for dedicated Internet access and world-class reliability across AT&T’s Tier 1 IP backbone. The IP Telephony solution will provide an inherent, fully meshed environment with the ability to monitor and reroute voice and data traffic, which will improve efficiency among company employees.

Together, these solutions provide increased network reliability and align with AT&T’s customer-focused convergence strategy, which gives Geotech the flexibility and security to seamlessly integrate future communications technologies.
