Highland Associates Named 2013 Business of the Year

Highland Associates was honored with the 2013 Business of the Year Award by the Scranton Chamber of Commerce at the annual Chamber Gala featuring the Scranton Awards for Growth and Excellence.  The event was held on Monday, November 11 at the Theatre at Lackawanna College, Scranton, PA and was attended by Chamber members, area business and community leaders.

The Business of the Year category recognizes a for-profit community business for their accomplishments and operational success.  A panel of volunteer judges made the selections. Nominees were judged on a detailed submission profiling the company, history and services along with ways the company benefits the community, growth and performance.  This year, the Chamber of Commerce received 115 submissions across several categories, which is the most to date.

“Highland Associates is so pleased to have been chosen for this award, it was great to see how many business and community leaders came out for this event,” stated Tom Millard, P.E., and Principal.  “I was honored to accept the award on Highland’s behalf and on behalf of our 160 talented and dedicated employees, 100 of which reside in our Clark Summit office.”
