TWI Supports PRAY Relief Efforts in the Philippines
Relief support has provided food and shelter for thousands affected by Typhoon Yolanda
On November 8, 2013, Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) slammed into six Philippines islands, causing great devastation and claiming the lives of thousands. Typhoon Yolanda has affected the lives of millions throughout the Philippines and the world.
In an effort to expedite aid and supplies for those most in need throughout the Philippines, Theodor Wille Intertrade (TWI) is supporting the relief efforts of Provincial Relief Aid for Yolanda (PRAY). PRAY is a non-profit organization which is boots-on-the-ground providing relief support and supplies to victims of the typhoon.
With the storm directly impacting the TWI team, we currently have team members heavily engaged in the coordinating and logistics of support for the PRAY mission. In addition, TWI has set up an account that provides the opportunity to send donations in support of the PRAY efforts. With the donations received through our website and team contributions, TWI will continue to support PRAY’s mission: to procure, organize, and provide life-saving supplies and materials to the remote villages of the Capiz Province of the Western Visayan Island of Panay, Philippines.
Through its vast network of resources, TWI and PRAY recently coordinated and executed several successful deliveries of food and shelter provisions to thousands of those affected by the storm. Last week, both organizations provided relief aid to over 700 families, totaling more than 2,800 people.
