Chanukah Dayenu, Is It Chanukah, Thanksgiving or Passover?

     The senior citizens at Menorah Park Center for Senior Living have a lot to sing about this holiday season.  In conjunction with a fundraiser, The Chanukah Countdown sale of The Wake Up and Dream Challenge on Amazon November 23rd - 30th, they have a new Chanukah song that will give Adam Sandler’s Chanukah Song a run for the money. Chanukah Dayenu can be heard on YouTube. 

Chanukah Dayenu and the Chanukah Countdown sale is a joint project prepared by author Dr. Barbara Lavi to help Menorah Park.  Since Chanukah comes early this year, coinciding with Thanksgiving, people are scrambling to make their Chanukah gift purchases. The song offers a solution to this unique dilemma with a “more than sufficient,”  the translation of the word, Dayenu, gift. The humorous song shows how to find the perfect gift that needs no postage, wrapping, or trips to the mall. 

Psychologist & author, Dr. Lavi states that, “the song is meant to be funny, but the sale supports a serious program which helps residents accomplish their dreams & teaches every reader self help techniques I developed over the course of my career as a clinical psychologist.”  Therefore, for one week, she is offering a Chanukah discount (30 - 50% off the regular price of $9.95) on her best selling Kindle self-help book, The Wake Up and Dream Challenge. The ebook can be downloaded to any computer, ipad or smart phone & sent to anyone with an e-mail address. One half of the profits from each book sold will be donated to Menorah Park’s D.R.E.A.M. Program. 

    The D. R. E. A. M. Program has helped residents like, Hy Snell make their life long dreams reality. Hy, who is legally blind, dreamt of a career as an artist. In 2011, the D.R.E.A.M. Program sponsored Hy’s first art show at the age of 92 complete with television coverage. Now he is getting calls from around the world. Hy is just one of the seniors from Menorah Park who have been helped to accomplish their life dreams.
