TÜViT certifies Bayer Business Services’ data center locations

Top marks for Global Data Center operating concept

Leverkusen. On August 10, 2006, German IT certification company TÜViT certified the three Global Data Center locations of Bayer Business Services in Leverkusen. Two of the buildings from which many customers’ business-critical IT systems are operated were awarded the highest certification level, while the third achieved the second-highest level.

Bayer Business Services’ Global Data Center, split between three locations, is based on a unique operating concept that meets the highest standards in terms of availability and reliability. For example, even if one of the facilities goes down, Bayer Business Services can immediately continue operations in the second building, with full system availability in the third building being achieved within four weeks. Customers can also choose modified operating concepts for less critical applications.

The quality of the three locations evidenced by the TÜViT certification enables Bayer Business Services to meet the security and reliability standards the Bayer Group requires in its global business processes. This high quality level also benefits the many customers outside the Bayer Group who use the services of the Global Data Center.
