Univision Deportes Launches on Xbox One

NEW YORK – Univision Communications Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, announced today the launch of the Univision Deportes app on Xbox One, set to be debuted to consumers on November 22, 2013. This will be the first Spanish-language sports app launched on Xbox One in the U.S.

The Univision Deportes application will allow fans to experience the most exclusive soccer content available – including live streaming and VOD content of the most popular sports properties including Liga MX, the Mexican National Team and the 2014 World Cup. Additionally, the application will provide sports fans with 24/7 coverage of soccer worldwide, including the latest news, real-time results and stats, comprehensive videos and photos of the world’s most important soccer tournaments and leagues including the Liga MX, MLS, English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, Germany’s Bundesliga, Italy’s Serie A, and the Brasileirão, UEFA Champions League, Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana and more.

This launch marks that second time since 2012 that Microsoft and Univision have partnered around a product launch. In 2012, Microsoft added the popular UVideos app, Univision’s premier bilingual digital video destination.

Univision Deportes will be optimized for Xbox One, offering soccer fans the most comprehensive soccer programming available in Spanish language on a gaming console. Innovative features to include:

- Live streaming of Liga MX and highlights of many other games

-Nonstop results, real-time game casts, stats and lineups

-Simulated snap view to provide an enhanced viewing experience during live games and during playback

-Easily filter scores/schedule information by league/tournament/date
