Tieto supplies the City of Stockholm with system support for healthcare and welfare services

Tieto has been chosen by the City of Stockholm in the city’s two tenders for system support for healthcare and welfare services: healthcare documentation, system support for scheduling and a mobile application that manages reporting within the welfare business operations. The agreement is valid for three years, with an option of up to seven years. The initial order value is approximately SEK 16 million but with options and extensions, it may amount to SEK 100 million, according to an evaluation by the City of Stockholm.

With its Lifecare solution, Tieto is meeting the city’s requirements for supporting healthcare and welfare administration routines with automated information flows. The solution will also be integrated and interact with the city’s existing business system. The purpose is to provide more secure information, which makes it easier to follow up on targets and also guarantee quality in the healthcare operations within city district and geriatric administrations. The solution also means that the employees can work more efficiently, leading to greater patient safety.

The mobile application for elderly care, Lifecare Mobil Hemvård (mobile home care), also makes it easier to report on tasks carried out and create time reports for staff. This frees up time for one-on-one encounters between caregiver and care recipient.
