Opening night reception to benefit MOCA North Miami & Whole Planet Foundation

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – More than 30 pieces of digital, sculpted, painted and photographic art will be on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) North Miami from Nov. 6 through Nov. 15 as part of Whole Foods Market’s “The Art of Giving” exhibit.

Created with a sense of community and creativity, this unique exhibit will feature art that has been specifically designed and created by Whole Foods Market store artists throughout the state. These talented artists, who create amazing in-store designs, are donating their art for this exhibit. A sample of some their creations can be seen here. Store artists from Miami-Dade and Broward counties will be among those represented.

As part of the exhibit, an opening night reception will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The art will be on display inside the Pavilion at MOCA, and a free reception featuring wine and hors d’oeuvres will take place in the Courtyard. The opening reception is open to the public, who will have the opportunity to purchase art from this exhibit via the evening’s silent auction (debit and credit cards only).

All proceeds from the exhibit will benefit MOCA North Miami and Whole Planet Foundation®. Since opening in 1996, MOCA has been dedicated to making contemporary art accessible to diverse audiences – especially underserved populations – through the collection, preservation and exhibition of the best of contemporary art and its art historical influences. The Museum is known for its provocative and innovative exhibitions, and for seeking a fresh approach in examining the art of our time.
