Marco Pierre White talks to AGA Living Magazine

He’s been dubbed the Jagger of the AGA in the past, and it seems that this title is befitting Marco Pierre White. A traditionalist at heart, his kitchen contains a Belfast sink in place of a dishwasher, “because a dishwasher doesn’t clean plates like washing them”, and no fewer than two AGA range cookers.
 
In his interview with the AGA Living magazine, Marco Pierre White explains that one AGA cooker is just not enough for him. “I think a 3-oven AGA is perfect for a cottage. When you have a family you have to have at least a 4-oven. But in a perfect, perfect world two 3-ovens are better than one 4-oven because you have six ovens and four hotplates.”
 
It is tantamount to his love of cooking and his wish to have as professional a kitchen at home as possible that the chef has two of the 3-oven AGA Total Control cookers. His love of the AGA cooker stems from the fact that it is the closest option to a professional stove. The chef admits to using an AGA cooker for 20 years at home, but claims that the iconic cooker would not be out of place in a professional kitchen as “AGA cookers dissolve stress”.
 
The celebrity chef uses his AGA to rustle up a whole host of culinary delights, from Omelette a la Suisse, to lamb chops.  “The reason I like the AGA cooker is because throughout my cooking career I worked on solid tops, so when I cook on an AGA I work it like a professional solid top.  He adds, “In my opinion the AGA cooker is the closest you get to a professional stove.”
