The Spanish fashion group plans to open 13 macro-shops this year in a new concept embracing all its lines.

Mango is introducing its megastore concept worldwide. The new format aims to integrate all the company’s different lines (Mango, H.E. by Mango and Mango Touch, as well as Mango Kids and Mango Sport&Intimates, launched in August) under one roof, in an area covering between 800 and 3,000sqm.

In this first phase, which will be rolled out mainly in the European market, the brand plans to open 13 new megastores, taking the total to 18. Mango has already signed deals for 12 more megastores which will open in 2014, in countries like Spain, UK, Switzerland and Netherlands.

Mango continues to expand not just geographically, but also in target terms. It has just reached the total of 100 shops in Turkey, and is also diversifying in product lines with Mango Premium. Designed to be an advanced fashion laboratory, the new collection has just reached a selection of 300 shops worldwide, offering upmarket quality, pattern design and silhouettes.

Mango, which has more than 2,600 shops in 107 countries, ended 2012 with Group turnover worth €1.691 bn, up 20% on 2011. International markets accounted for 84% of this figure.
