This year, Austrian Airlines once again offers an extensive offering in its 2013/14 winter flight plan. On balance, the domestic airline will offer flight service this winter to 102 destinations in 55 countries. Accordingly, Austrian Airlines continues to provide an attractive offering this year tailored to the traditionally weaker level of demand in the winter months. In the course of the entire year, Austrian Airlines operates a global route network featuring flights to about 130 destinations.

Escape the winter
In the 2013/14 winter flight timetable, Austrian Airlines passengers can choose this year again from numerous sunny destinations. For example, it offers non-stop flights up to twice a week to Malè on the Maldives, daily service to Bangkok in Thailand and several flights a week to Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey. On balance, sun-hungry holidaymakers can choose among more than 25 warm destinations and defy the upcoming winter.

Eastern European specialist
Austrian Airlines continues to be the market leader in Eastern Europe among all the Western European airlines. Austria’s domestic airline offers flights this coming winter to 40 destinations in the region. In Russia alone Austrian Airlines provides non-stop flight service from Vienna to four destinations, namely Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar and Rostov. This offering is complemented by flights to Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov, Lviv and also to Odessa in cooperation with its Codeshare partner Ukraine International Airlines. The destinations of Austrian Airlines in Romania include Bucharest, Iasi and Sibiu. Moreover, in Romania Austrian Airlines also offers flights to Cluj in cooperation with its Codeshare partner Tarom. As a consequence, the Austrian Airlines flight service in Romania extends to four destinations.

Austrian Airlines links East and West
On balance, Austrian Airlines will have 82 European flight destinations in its offering this coming winter. Thanks to its favorable geographical position, the domestic airport of Vienna is an ideal East-Western hub. The route network of Austrian Airlines this winter encompasses 42 destinations in Western Europe alone.

Intercontinental destinations
On its intercontinental route network Austrian Airlines provides flight service to four destinations in North America and six in Asia. With respect to North America, the winter flight plan of Austrian Airlines includes up to one flight per day to New York, up to six times per week to Washington, up to five times weekly to Chicago and four weekly flights to Toronto in Canada. Its Asian offering encompasses daily flights to Bangkok, up to five times per week to Peking and six times weekly to Tokyo and Delhi, along with twice a week to the Maldives and up to three times each week to Astana in Kazakhstan.

Middle East – North Africa
This winter Austrian Airlines once again offers a dense flight offering in the Middle East region. For example, Austrian Airlines offers up to one flight daily to Dubai and Erbil, up to four times a week to Bagdad, up to three times each week to Amman and twice daily to Tel Aviv. In North Africa, Austrian Airlines also offers up to five weekly flights to Tripoli, and up to ten flights each week to Cairo in cooperation with its Codeshare partner Egypt Air.
