Free laundry service in the Baltics

Persil pop-up laundry services which were set up for two weeks in the capitals of all three Baltic States – Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn records positive resonance visitors and media.

During the weeks in which the activities were put in place, the inhabitants of Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn actively used the chance to get their laundry cleaned using the new Persil Expert that’s active already at just 20º. The free laundry service site also offered free wi-fi to the visitors.

“Pop-up service was a great idea to introduce the latest innovation of Persil,“ explains Elina Krastina, Product Manager of Persil in the Baltics. “The concept of this kind of service is quite new to our people. So, in addition to an innovative product we had also an innovative approach to marketing:”

At the opening events in all three states, guest speakers from the green movement spoke about the importance of protecting environment and gave tips how to best organize daily activities, in order to reduce the negative impact human action has on nature to the minimum. The laundry service was open in the evening hours, from 5 –10 p.m. for two weeks and received positive feedback from the clients as well as media.

”Pop up” is an emerging global trend, used by restaurants, cafes and retail businesses. These initiatives have a tendency to pop up unannounced, typically within a time frame ranging from 3 days to 3 months in a city centre or busy streets, quickly draw in the crowds, and then disappear, thus creating an exclusive and surprising effect.
