Companies Jointly Develop Products for GIS Professionals

SAN DIEGO, California, August 8, 2006 — Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS), a leading provider of imagery solutions for visualization, mapping and government markets, and Pictometry International Corporation, the worldwide leader in digital, aerial oblique imagery and measuring software systems, today announced the availability of new 3D modeling products for Geographic Information System (GIS) professionals. The new offerings combine the 3D modeling and geospatial product expertise of Harris with the visually stunning, aerial imaging data from Pictometry, creating a more realistic and impressive 3D viewing solution. The products are available in a variety of formats including the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) multipatch formats, which provide accessibility via ESRI’s ArcGIS Explorer. The announcement was made today during the ESRI User Conference, being held August 7-11 in San Diego.

“The unique characteristics of Pictometry’s Intelligent Images® and collection system, combined with industry-leading image processing solutions from Harris, are perfect for creating exciting, high-resolution products for a range of visualization applications for civilian, commercial and government customers,” said Tom Kubancik, business development manager for the ImageLinks product line of the Harris Government Communications Systems Division. “We are very pleased to be able to offer this suite of products, which will provide a new level of detail and accuracy to support development of the highest-quality urban planning, public safety, simulation and visualization databases.”

ESRI conference attendees can view demonstrations of this new technology in both the Harris booth (#303) and the Pictometry booth (#214).
