DOHA, Qatar – Co-presenter of this year’s Mosaïcultures Internationales Montréal, Qatar Airways celebrated the success of the 5th edition international horticultural competition by presenting the People’s Choice Award in Montréal, Quebec, Canada.

Mother Earth, created by Mosaïcultures Internationales de Montréal, captivated the more than 900,000 visitors and won their vote.

“We want to thank the artists who have created these green wonders with passion and talent,” said Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker. “Through Mosaïcultures, visitors travelled and explored the world, from Madagascar to South Korea, from Thailand to Japan or even from China to Malaysia. Art and nature took them on a journey they will never forget.”

Visitors to Mosaïcultures Internationales Montréal were also able to experience the Qatar Airways International Crossroads, a set of interactive stations and kiosks allowing visitors to learn about the various horticultural pieces of art that took them on a visual journey throughout the world.

During the closing ceremony, held at Montreal City Hall in the presence of Mayor Mr. Laurent Blanchard, Qatar Airways Country Manager Canada, Mr. Riyaz Saduddeen, highlighted the passion and talent that made the prestigious Mosaïcultures event such a triumph.

“During the course of the summer, hundreds of thousands of people explored Mosaïcultures and saw for themselves the exquisite beauty of these exhibitions, brought to life by the people who created them,” said Saduddeen. “Qatar Airways is honoured to have played an instrumental role in the success of this annual event. This was a perfect partnership as our brands have such similarities; we share the common goal of bringing the world to Canadians.”
