New multipurpose inkjet minilab brings versatile system to photo retailers for true customization
Valhalla, N.Y., September 9, 2013 – FUJIFILM North America Corporation Imaging Division today announced the all-new FRONTIER-S DX100, that features the well-known FRONTIERTM image quality in a small versatile design.
The new Frontier-S DX100 is a multipurpose inkjet printer that enables photo retailers and event photographers to have a scalable system that supports their various printing services, installation space and budget. The new FRONTIER-S DX100 was developed with flexibility in mind to combine the benefits of a dye sublimation printer size, portability and ease of use with the vivid but accurate color reproduction and deep blacks of an inkjet printer. With the new FRONTIER-S DX100, customers in the retail, event and government industries can take advantage of its small footprint, Frontier quality printing, linear consumable pricing, variable print size and surface flexibility for maximum efficiency and profitability.
“Fujifilm is committed to giving our customers extraordinary printing quality in scalable configurations that fit their needs and space, and the FRONTIER-S DX100 features the technology and design to make that possible,” said Bing Liem, vice president marketing and sales, FUJIFILM North America Corporation.
The Frontier-S DX100 enables high-quality printing with a wide color gamut, sharp detail, smooth gradation and deep blacks by utilizing the exclusive combination of FUJIFILM Quality Dry Photo Paper for DX100, and the six Fujifilm VIVIDIATM ink system. When combined with Fujifilm’s innovative Image Intelligence™ image processing technology it’s a compact yet powerful printer design. The Frontier-S DX100 can produce a 4”× 6” print in 10 seconds (using 6” paper and standard mode) and supports various print sizes from 3.5”x 5” up to 8” x 39” for ultimate flexibility.
