A’s @ College Without Doing HW
According to Allison M. Lee, you can receive A’s at college and graduate school without doing your homework. After receiving D’s her freshman year at Cornell University, she knew she had to do things differently. She stopped doing her homework and watched her grades improve and even went on to Harvard Graduate School where she got A’s again without doing her homework.
Instead of spending hours on homework and reserve readings, Allison, who claims to be a slow reader, a slow learner and a slow thinker, began concentrating her efforts on what her father always said was most important in school, which is what comes out of the professor’s mouth. Instead of falling asleep or daydreaming in class, she stayed alert for each class, took voracious notes and would review and memorize those notes that evening or on the weekends. This was the key to her success because what the professor discussed was what was on the tests. Homework was just extra.
Her 5 star-rated book - “D to A in the Ivy League: How I went from D’s to A’s at Cornell then on to A’s at Harvard in 7 Steps with Less Stress and No Homework” is now on Amazon for a 5-Day FREE promotion (August 24-28, 2013). This autobiographical ’how to study’ college level guide will give you tips on studying effectively and time management stills. Allison also coaches students one on one and in groups, on how to improve their study habits. You can find more information on her site www.DtoAStudySkills.com.
