Antonio Anguita named head of the new France Telecom Home line of business

France, August 3, 2006, The new business segments, along with strategic and geographic marketing, form the cornerstone of the France Telecom group’s organization. They demonstrate France Telecom’s capacity to implement its integrated operator strategy. Launched on July 25 of this year to replace the previous “Home Communication Services” division, the new “Home” segment was formed to lead the NExT strategy and boost the performance of the Group’s fixed-line and Internet businesses.

For this purpose, France Telecom announces the appointment of Antonio Anguita who will lead the new Home segment in France and internationally. He will report to Georges Penalver, a member of the France Telecom Executive Committee responsible for strategic marketing.

Antonio Anguita joined the Group in 2002 at the time of Wanadoo’s acquisition of eresMas Interactiva, a company he had led since its formation. Since 2004, he has served as Chief Executive Officer of France Telecom Spain, the company that resulted from the merger of the fixed-line businesses of Uni2 and Wanadoo’s portal and Internet operations in Spain. Antonia Anguita previously held other positions, including Director of Strategic Planning, Business Development and Control for the mobile operator Amena. He began his career with Hewlett Packard Europe before becoming a consultant for Mc Kinsey’s New York office. He has also served as economic advisor for the Spanish Ministry of the Interior.

Antonio Anguita is a “magna cum laude” graduate of Brown University, with a double major in economics and political science, and holds an MBA from Harvard University.
