Duke Energy Opens Joint Information Center

RALEIGH, N.C. - Duke Energy officials activated the company’s Joint Information Center (JIC) at 4:30 a.m. today as a result of events at the Harris Nuclear Plant.

Duke Energy personnel are coordinating with federal, state, and local officials to resolve the situation and protect the public.

A media briefing is not scheduled at this time, however the media line (704-382-4313) is available for questions from the news media. Should a media briefing be necessary, briefings will be held in the Joint Information Center News Media Briefing area at the Duke Energy Customer Service Building located at 160 Rush Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.
