CHICAGO, August 2, 2006 - Aladdin Knowledge Systems (NASDAQ: ALDN), the leader in Software DRM, identity management, and content security solutions, today announced its Aladdin eSafe gateway-based content security solution now offers enhanced AppliFilter™ features that allow organizations to block file sharing in Instant Message (IM) applications.

IM file transfers stand as a fast-growing threat, serving as one of the major vulnerabilities in organizations’ Internet security. Phishing attacks, spam, spyware, viruses and worms are now commonly transferred through seemingly harmless IM use within the enterprise.

A unique technology of its kind, eSafe’s AppliFilter allows organizations to continue using convenient text messaging applications while gaining assurance that potentially dangerous file transfers are blocked.
