Ames Goldsmith Corporation Announces Changes Within Its Management Team

July 25, 2013 - Glens Falls, NY - Ames Goldsmith Corporation, a major global refiner and supplier of silver-based products to the Photovoltaic, Printed and Fired Electronics, EO Catalyst, and Health Care industries announces changes within its management team. 

Following the retirement of Bill Hamelin, the Board of Directors for Ames Goldsmith Corporation has unanimously appointed Frank Barber to the position of President & CEO, effective July 1, 2013.  “I am excited to take over in the President’s role and I am honored to be leading such a dynamic and historically significant company.  I am proud to be supported by such a talented and dedicated group of employees,” said Barber.  “Founded in 1860, with over 150 continuous years of history, Ames Goldsmith has developed a market-leading technical knowhow and a culture from which we can grow and serve the needs of our growing global customer base.” 

Replacing Barber as Global Sales and Marketing Director, will be Randy Klein.  Klein comes from Heraeus Precious Metals, where he started his career as an R&D Scientist and transitioned through various Management roles during his tenure with Heraeus.  Having senior level experience in Asia, Klein brings a global perspective and technical understanding of the varied markets served by Ames Goldsmith.  Klein explains: “We pride ourselves on our ability to partner with our customers; to develop products which meet their unique application requirements.  Regardless of size or geographic location, our customers will receive first-class service and technical support from our global staff and facilities.”
