Atos Smart Grid Suite Optimized for Speed and Reliability on Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud

Atos Worldgrid, an international subsidiary of Atos, today announced it has strengthened its Atos Smart Grid Suite (ASGS) by achieving Oracle Exadata Optimized and Oracle Exalogic Optimized status through Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN). This demonstrates that the latest Atos Smart Grid Suite version 3.0 has been tested and tuned with Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud to deliver speed, scalability and reliability to utility customers worldwide. Additionally, Atos Smart Grid Suite version 3.0 has been tested and supports Oracle Linux. Atos Worldgrid is a Platinum level member in Oracle PartnerNetwork.

ASGS offers a scalable architecture which enables the management of an ever growing volume of data, as well as millions of connected devices, without degrading performance, allowing customers to scale their investment in accordance with the device rollout and extension of the grid control. With Oracle Exadata and Oracle Exalogic, ASGS can process the daily collection of 60 million meters in under 4 hours using only a half rack Oracle Exadata, which is6.8 times faster and four times the volume compared to prior benchmarks which could not load more than 15 million meters. Additionally, this combination can manage the execution of more than 200,000 processes in 1 hour for 40 million meters using only a quarter rack Oracle Exalogic, and showed 10 times greater compression of historical data using Oracle Exadata Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC). These results allow for a high performance platform, optimal resource utilization and a different approach to grid management.
