Confio SQL Server Expert Thomas LaRock Elected PASS President

Boulder, Colo., July 18, 2013 – Confio Software, the makers of the award-winning Ignite database performance monitoring tools, is proud to announce today that Thomas LaRock was elected to the role of president of the Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS). LaRock is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) and a SQL Server MCM, while also serving as a senior member of the experienced DBA team at Confio. In addition he manages the popular SQLRockStar blog.

LaRock will serve as president for two years, beginning January 1, 2014. He is joined by a notable executive committee, six at-large directors, four founding representatives and appointed advisors. The all-volunteer board of directors including LaRock will be responsible for engaging worldwide SQL Server professionals as well as Microsoft executives, product teams and developers to help develop quality programs, educational content and speakers for the community. In addition, PASS members provide highly valuable user feedback to Microsoft on product feature sets.
