Talent Ball, Ra UnsKrypted and Hustle Ward Present Tie Drive and Music Showcase

CHICAGO -- On Thursday July 18th Talent Ball, Ra UnsKrypted and Hustle Ward will hold a Tie Drive and music showcase at Mr. Brown’s Lounge in Chicago. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness for Talent Ball, a philanthropic endeavor pioneered by Chicago entertainers Ra UnsKrypted, Kris Warren and Jovan Plunkett.

Due to city wide cuts reducing the number of after-school programs available, Talent Ball will engage with the 14-18 demographic who are likely to be the most affected by such cuts. With studies determining that the lack of provision for young adults after school has seen an increase in crimes committed during 3-6 pm, Talent Ball recognized something had to be done.

Launching an after-school program to alleviate some of the issues faced by youths due to these fiscal shortfalls is just one way Talent Ball aims to make a difference. This start up not-for-profit will provide a solid platform that encourages young people to channel their energy creatively, while allowing them to secure hands on experience from people involved with the music industry.

Speaking on the event, which will bring people of all ages together to learn about what the foundation does to make a difference, Kris Warren said "It’s good to be able to link up with genuine people in the entertainment industry for a good cause.

“We have all grown spiritually and musically throughout the years and its good to see we are still here and no one ever quit following their dreams" he concluded.

The event will boast performances from local acts and DJs will also see BET’s 106 and Park Viewers Choice single, ‘Nina,’ performed by A-Way and Ra UnsKrypted, who will be performing on the coveted TV show on August 20th
