Carlson Rezidor announces the Radisson Blu Hotel, Rouen, France

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the ten largest hotel groups worldwide, announces the Radisson Blu Hotel, Rouen in France. The 91-rooms property is scheduled to open in Q3 2015, and brings Carlson Rezidor’s French portfolio to 23 hotels in operation and under development.

The site of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Rouen is centrally located in the heart of Rouen at walking distance from the railway station and adjacent to the medieval Tour Jeanne d’Arc. Besides 91 guest rooms offering Radisson Blu signature services such as free high speed internet access, the first class and full service property will offer a 139m² all-day dining restaurant and a 100m² bar area, 297m² of meeting and events facilities as well as gym and spa (118m²). Architecture and design of the hotel will be an attractive mix combining historic construction with new build.

Rouen, located in Northern France, is the capital of the region “Haute-Normandie” and known as the historical capital of the Normandy. The city’s economy is mainly driven by heavy industry, such as automotive: The head offices of Renault, Peugeot and Mov’eo are located in the Rouen province. The city has also started to focus more on leisure tourism and has become popular for cultural vacations, weekend breaks and business incentives.

Carlson Rezidor has developed a strong network of Radisson Blu hotels in key destinations across the country: The brand is for example present with 6 properties in Greater Paris; in Nantes, Toulouse, Biarritz, Nantes, Cannes, and Marseille.
