TestAmerica Implements Fully Operational Disaster Recovery Site
TestAmerica, the largest laboratory network and leader in environmental testing, announced today the implementation of a disaster recovery site at its Houston, TX facility. The fully operational TestAmerica disaster recovery site allows the company to maintain a secure and separate IT server infrastructure from the main site at the Denver, CO facility. In the event of a major service interruption, the disaster recovery site provides 100% replication of over 70 terabytes of stored data and server redundancy in near real-time for all TestAmerica hardware and software systems.
James E. Hyman, CEO of TestAmerica stated, “Disasters strike randomly, which is why we have invested over $5 million in the industry’s most resilient systems architecture with complete redundancy to ensure that clients can always access their data. Although people typically don’t think about data recovery until they actually need their data recovered, TestAmerica’s disaster recovery system both minimizes service interruption and ensures no loss of data.”
