Paris

Today, Orange is announcing a partnership with Viadeo, one of the world’s most popular professional social networks with over 7 million members in France alone.

As a result of this partnership, Orange is giving its customers free access to the Premium version of Viadeo. From 21 August 2013, Orange fixed and mobile customers (personal and business), and Sosh and Cloud Pro customers, will be able to get a free two-month trial of Viadeo Premium.

The social network will allow users to give their careers a boost or manage their business opportunities just by accessing the Viadeo website or mobile application.
Viadeo Premium allows you to see who has viewed your profile, perform advanced searches, access all members’ profiles, publicise events. For businesses, they can network with partners, search for new customers and put together the best possible team.
After the two-month trial period, Orange customers will enjoy a special rate for the duration of their subscription without obligation. Customers can choose to pay for the Viadeo Premium service in their Orange mobile or internet account bill.

Viadeo and Orange are working on innovative services which will be trialled in 2013

The two partners are exploring all the opportunities in the countries where both companies operate, so that all customers, especially in Africa, can benefit from these services. The services will be based on the Orange platform and the new RCS (Rich Communication Suite) standard, which is gradually being integrated into all mobiles worldwide. New conversation, contact, photo and video sharing features will be available to all Viadeo members.
“This joint initiative with Orange is an opportunity to demonstrate the full power of social networks to a wider audience. Reaching a large number of professionals, wherever they are in France, is now essential for building and managing your career or growing your business” says Dan Serfaty, co-founder and CEO of Viadeo.
“This partnership illustrates once again Orange’s desire to ensure its customers get the most out of digital life. At a time when 85% of the new jobs created in Europe are created by VSB and SME, this innovation by Orange and Viadeo helps to stimulate entrepreneurship in France today, and in other countries tomorrow”, says Vivek Badrinath, Deputy CEO in charge of innovation, technology and customer experience for the Orange Group.
