Reuters hires Lee Ann Daly as Chief Marketing Officer

New York, NY – July 31, 2006 – Reuters (LSE: RTR; NASDAQ: RTRSY), the global information company, today announced that Lee Ann Daly will join Reuters as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer effective January 1, 2007. In this capacity, Ms. Daly will report directly to Reuters Chief Operating Officer Devin Wenig and will be responsible for Reuters brand development and marketing efforts globally.

Ms. Daly brings more than twenty years of marketing and advertising experience to Reuters. Most recently she served as executive vice president of marketing at ESPN. Ms. Daly was responsible for the development, direction and implementation of all branding and creative services and marketing for ESPN’s growing television, print, radio, broadband and Internet services.
