This New York City walking tour focuses on the history of Fifth Avenue, from its days as a glamorous residential neighborhood to the development of the high-end retail industry along this famous street. Highlights of the 5th Avenue Tour include historical information and fun facts about famous department stores (Lord & Taylor, Bergdorf Goodman, and Saks Fifth Avenue, just to name a few) as well as plenty of not-so-famous stores which are now just relics of the past. Along the way, tour participants will see architectural landmarks, Fifth Avenue television and film locations (including spots seen in movies like Sex and the City and Breakfast at Tiffany’s) and more. These affordable ($35/person) group excursions last for approximately two hours and are capped at twelve participants to guarantee a personalized experience for each guest.
