Project Ibiza High Summer 2013 at Missguided Ireland

Missguided launched its latest global high summer campaign using the hedonistic backdrop of Ibiza.
Shot on the sun-drenched Balearic island of Ibiza – an enviable backdrop for its hard-hitting exclusive summer collection, Missguided’s latest summer campaign personifies exactly why the brand is going from strength to strength.
Shot over two days in the sun-spot known as ‘The White Isle’, the versed team of creative minds and models let their innovative juices flourish as they translated the ethos of the brand into the 30 second advert. Although the clothes are able to speak for themselves, the island of Ibiza elevates that voice, complimenting the rebellious girls’ attitude.
The initial day of the shoot was shot on location in one of the islands chicest villas. Nestled in the hills, the villa had the perfect spot for the panoramic views that served as a backdrop to the prominent models, effortlessly rocking their range of multi-coloured clothing. Shooting from sunrise until sunset, the shoot encapsulated the beauty of the island’s scenery whilst not detracting from the focal point: Missguided’s amazing collection. Canary yellow dresses against the cloudless blue sky, and black swimsuits and sunglasses stood out in the turquoise water as one of the models took a plunge to the underwater camera, both examples of the innovative shots.
Next, it was onto the water park. With swimsuits that put a modern twist on the classic shape and put a Missguided spin onto conventional print, the advert showcased yet more of the must-have range. Running through the shallows in heels, and sliding down the tubes in the stylish swimwear demonstrated how the attitudinal Missguided Ireland girl steals the show. 
Day 2 took place on the cliff face of EsVedra where, again, contrasts were brought into play. Atop the natural rocky road sat a vintage red Mustang, previously used for a campaign starring Kate Moss, and it was here that the models showcased the summer range. Multi-coloured smoke bombs injected colour into the otherwise neutral scenery, bringing out the vast palette offered by the garments. The attitude of the girls was delivered as they strutted through the derelict setting in heels and fashion forward outfits. With a presence so strong; it’s hard to take your eyes off.
Project Ibiza has landed.
