118 trades looks to help regenerate areas with job creation

Daniel Corby, CEO and founder 118 trades says has announced that the future growth of the 118 trades business will more than likely be achieved through the company opening new call centres in areas of deprivation and high unemployment.

118 trades will consider opening a call centre of upto 400 people in an unemployment black-spot and at the same time launch a Sales and skill academy, which will underpin the business.

Speaking about the news, Daniel Corby, CEO said “We have traded very well from call centres in Chelmsford and Harlow, but we are absolutely focussed on building the business through additional centres in other parts of the country and will actively pursue unemployment black spots to create a WIN-WIN situation for both the business and the local economy. There are many office buildings vacant in these areas and a huge number of them are more than likely government owned. It makes absolute sense for 118 trades to take these buildings on, grow our own business and support the local area at the same time. We can not grow our own business sufficiently from just the current locations, and this is a great win for the business”

118 trades is the UK’s leading directory service of tradespeople and businesses with checkable references. The business was founded in 2005 and has achieved the status of the UK’s fastest growing directory business.

The business operates from Chelmsford and last week announced plans to open a new 450 seat state of the art call and customer contact centre in Chelmer Village from September 2006.

Local governments or council departments with vacant office space that operate in areas of high unemployment should e-mail executiveoffice@118trades.com setting out the space available and any incentives that may be on offer.
