Retail Analytics Pioneers Unite as ShopperTrak Co-Founder Tad Shepperd Joins Euclid to Expand East Coast Presence as Senior Vice President

PALO ALTO, Calif. – Euclid, the retail analytics company best described as Google Analytics for the physical world, today announces a major hire as Tad Shepperd, the co-founder and former CEO of ShopperTrak, joins the firm as Senior Vice President. His responsibilities will include driving sales growth and overseeing the sales team. Additionally, he will be working closely with Euclid CEO Will Smith on strategic initiatives and helping to guide the firm through its dramatic growth.
Mr. Shepperd is best known for his role as co-founder and CEO of ShopperTrak, a leading provider of shopper traffic information for the retail industry. His efforts grew the company from five employees to an industry giant serving 200 of the world’s largest retailers in over 20 countries. He was most recently a consulting partner at Claris Solutions, where he advised leading retailers on key strategy and technology decisions.
Shepperd’s hiring brings together the founding fathers of analytics for physical retail and the web. Euclid co-founder Scott Crosby also co-founded Urchin Software, the pioneering web analytics firm that was acquired by Google and became the basis for Google Analytics, now used by 62 percent of the world’s top 10,000 websites. Crosby and Shepperd’s combined expertise in online and offline analytics will drive Euclid’s continued adoption by leading specialty retailers, big box chains, and department stores.
