Local Academy Expands With a New South Florida Location

It has been a busy 2013 at The Academy for Addiction Professionals. With an expansion and upgrade to its primary facility complete, the Academy has now secured a second location in Delray Beach, Florida. The new classroom, located on Atlantic Avenue in West Delray Beach, will add a second Monday and Wednesday evening course to the schedule. The goal is to offer even more flexibility to licensed and aspiring professional in Palm Beach County. Classes will begin on July 29th on the topic of Professional and Ethical Responsibilities.

Delray Beach is a center for addiction treatment, boasting many prominent substance abuse treatment facilities. Not only can the professionals employed at these facilities benefit from the classes, but those in recovery can become a part of the industry that, in many cases, saved their lives.

The Academy for Addiction Professionals has grown significantly over the course of the past several years as students of all backgrounds take the educational requirements for certification in the field of addiction. The core courses offered at The Academy for Addiction Professionals fulfill the educational requirements for the Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) as well as the Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) and Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) certifications as stipulated by the Florida Certification Board.
