WIRL Racing Announces Development of Online Pinewood Derby Style Racing Game

WIRL, the first national pinewood-derby style racing league, has just announced the development of their one of a kind online racing community, WIRL Racing Online. The game has been in development for a year and is expected to launch in early 2014. Built around the concept of Pinewood Derby, or woodcar gravity racing, players will be able to design and build cars online and enter them in races against other players. The online racing promises to realistically emulate real life track racing as closely as possible. The custom content feature will allow creators to design and upload their own car parts and decoration.
 
On May 19, 2013 WIRL launched a Kickstarter campaign in which backers will gain first access to the beta test launch of the game. The campaign will run through June 20, 2013.
