DENVER, Colo.— May 14, 2013 — American Lighting, a manufacturer and distributor of lighting technologies for residential, commercial and specialty markets, has announced the addition of the LED Contrax to its under cabinet lighting product line. The LED Contrax is value-priced, saves energy and operates at much lower temperatures than conventional lighting sources, producing virtually no heat.  

“The LED Contrax is our lowest priced LED Under Cabinet product line to date,” said Jason Elrod, vice president sales and marketing, American Lighting. “It offers affordable, energy-efficient and long-lasting warm white task light for a variety of applications including work areas, displays and under cabinet areas.”

The LED Contrax is available in two finishes (Dark Bronze and White) and is offered in four Energy Star rated sizes (8 inch, 16 inch, 24 inch and 32 inch) that suit multiple types of installations. The low profile modular design uses the latest in LED technology and is easy and quick to install, allowing up to 50 units to link together and includes the following features: 

  • Highly efficient 3000K LEDs provide warm white light (80 CRI)
  • Tool-less entry wireway access cover with 3/8 inch cable clamp and push-in electrical connections facilitate rapid wiring, simplifying installation
  • Dimmable with most standard incandescent dimmers
  • Modular design for maximum flexibility and quick installation
  • Cool to the touch operation
  • Low profile design, only 7/8 inches high
  • Samsung LEDs deliver maximum reliability, performance and color consistency
