Free Training Course Available to Carers

NCC Resources are offering a free, Level 2 ‘Moving and Handling Clients Safely’ online course.
 
The level of care provided in the UK has come under criticism from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) numerous times within the past 12 months.  Many care homes have been found in breach of regulations set out to ensure care is provided to the highest possible standard.  
 
A South Lanarkshire BUPA care home was recently fined after an elderly resident died after breaking her neck in a fall. BUPA Care Homes were fined £57,000 after admitting the failure to review and update a risk assessment for Mrs Stevenson and failing to provide adequate instruction and supervision to their employees engaged in moving and handling residents of Highgate Care Home in Uddingston.  Tragedies such as this can be avoided by providing the correct training for staff.
 
Staff training can be expensive as well as time consuming, but the importance of a highly qualified workforce grows as the expected government standards are raised.  NCC will soon be offering a completely free Level 2 “Moving and Handling Clients Safely” online course for any individual currently working in the care sector or with aspirations to pursue a career in this industry.

The course is completely free, official NCC certification of your completed course is available at a cost of £7.50 including P&P, or NCFE certification £15 including P&P.
